IBF jr. welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi will fight on January 5th against #1 contender Herman Ngoudjo.

Malignaggi said "I really feel that Ngoudjo is going to come to fight. I mean, it's everybody's dream to fight for a world title and I've been in that position before as a challenger and being hungry. I just don't feel that Ngoudjo has the firepower to give me a problem. I see myself winning that fight without too many problems."

Malignaggi was aksed during an interview" Now in the 140 lb. division, with Ricky Hatton moving up to fight Floyd Mayweather, there's not a lot of really big named fighters. Do you see yourself moving up to the 147 lb. division to fight some of those big named fighters? "

PM: I definitely see myself moving to 147 at a certain time. I want to establish myself as "The Man" at 140 lbs. first and leave no doubt that I'm the best 140 pounder in the world, then move up to 147 and Miguel is the guy I want to fight once I move up to welterweight. Everything in due time. Everything is in steps and right now, my next step is to fight Herman Ngoudjo.

when asked who will win between Floyd Mayweather against Ricky Hatton.
"PM: I think it's a one-sided fight for Floyd Mayweather, who I see dominating Ricky Hatton. I see Ricky Hatton not coming back to America for a while after that. Mayweather is going to dominate that fight."
