Kermit Cintron vs Antonio Margarito

A rematch between Kermit Cintron and former WBO titleholder Antonio Margarito has been set to fight on the Miguel Cotto-Alphonso Gomez card in April in New York City.

Antonio Margarito from Tijuana, Mexico, demolish Kermit Cintron back in April of 2005 with his powerful uppercut that dropped Cintron early in the fight and by the fourth round Cintron had a deep cut over his right eyelid.

With blood streaming down the right side of his face, Cintron was a done boxer and as he walked toward his corner, his trainer Marshall Kaufman mounted the ring apron and ended the bout at 2:21 of the fifth round.

If Margarito trains the way he did when he fought Golden Johnson in November 2007, I am confident that Antonio Margarito will have no problem sending Cintron back to the canvas.

Should Cotto beat Gomez, the winner of Cintron-Margarito will face each other in July.
