Antonio Margarito vs Oscar De La Hoya

Antonio Margarito made an appearance in the popular Mexican show La Republica Deportiva not only did he talk about his win over Kermit Cintron and his plans to beat Miguel Cotto but also called out Oscar De La Hoya.

“Why doesn’t Oscar DHL fight me for his third fight? My mind is set to beat Miguel Cotto so I have told Oscar and that he doesn’t have to look else where I am right here.”

Bob Arum of Top Rank announced that WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto would defend his title against Antonio Margarito on July 26 at New York's Madison Square Garden. The fight is expected to land on HBO pay-per-view. Giving boxing fans something to look forward to this summer.Click Here to see Video

The Margarito vs. Cotto fight is a fight that I have waited for, for a long time. That is the fight for Margarito to shine and get bigger fights, but I am not thinking Oscar, I would think more like a Mayweather vs Margarito. Leave Oscar's last fight to The son of the legend Julio Ceaser Chavez Jr. Now that fight will make a lot of sense.
