Let me start by saying thank you Oscar. I just read that "Vicious" Victor Ortiz (20-1-1 15 KO's) has been added to the Saturday night Oscar DeLaHoya card at Home Depot Soccer Stadium. This really changes the complexion of the card and makes it much more exciting. I was very disappointed this week when I saw that 25-0 Jorge Linares was dropped from the card. His replacement may not be as accomplished professionally, but Ortiz is an exciting 21 yr old and while his opponent sports 24 KO's on his record he is 34 and has lost 7 of his last 8. This all equates to a nice exhibition of a young light welterweight southpaw with power. Exactly the type of fight Oscar needs to get the fans revved up and excited for the main event. Add to it the return of Michael Buffer after throat surgery and Saturday night may have some magic after all. I can only hope the boxing nation had something to do with this but maybe Oscar had this in mind all along. Either way, muchas gracias and see you at the fights.
